Pizza boxes, PFAS and recycling claims
Pizza boxes fall under state PFAS laws for food packaging, which ban intentionally added PFAS in states including New York, California, Washington, Vermont, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, Rhode Island and Hawaii. Choose the box about 1 inch (25 mm) wider than the pizza so the crust does not touch the walls and steam can circulate. Standard sizes cover individual and medium pizzas; larger or rectangular pizzas need a custom size.
