Materials, grease barrier and end of life
The grease and moisture barrier on Direct Eco Green salad boxes comes from the PLA inner lining, not from fluorinated (PFAS) treatments; ask for the factory's PFAS declaration with your quote. That is relevant because intentionally added PFAS are banned in food packaging in New York, California, Washington, Vermont, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, Rhode Island and Hawaii.
- Kraft + PLA is designed for commercial composting where industrial facilities accept it. PLA-lined paper is not accepted in most US curbside recycling programs, so do not print "recyclable" on it.
- Window lids: confirm the window film material in your quote, because it determines how the lid can be described and disposed of.

Avoid unqualified "biodegradable" or "recyclable" claims: the FTC Green Guides and California SB 343 require claims that match local facilities.
