Wooden cutlery sets and loose utensils for take-out and events
Direct Eco Green produces its birch cutlery in two ways: as a complete wrapped set for take-out and delivery, or as individual utensils for buffets, cafeterias and self-service stations. Both use the same natural, uncoated solid birch, suitable for hot and cold dishes and resistant to moisture and grease during a meal.
- Complete set — fork, knife, soup spoon, coffee spoon and napkin in a kraft paper pouch. One hygienic unit per order, easy for delivery drivers and meal-kit lines.
- Set without napkin — the same utensils in the kraft pouch, for operators who already supply napkins separately.
- Individual utensils — forks, knives, tablespoons and teaspoons packed in bulk for dispensers, catering trays and events.
Typical buyers include quick-service restaurants, ghost kitchens, airline and rail caterers, corporate cafeterias, food trucks and festival organizers.

Materials and end of life
The utensils are cut from solid birch, a renewable hardwood, and the set pouch is plain kraft paper, so the finished set contains no plastic. That makes wooden cutlery one of the simplest replacements for polystyrene or polypropylene forks and spoons.
Be precise about end of life when you communicate on the product:
- Uncoated wood is accepted by some commercial composting facilities; acceptance varies by city, so check with local programs before printing a disposal instruction.
- Avoid unqualified "biodegradable" claims on packaging or menus — the FTC Green Guides treat them as deceptive unless the item breaks down quickly in the way it is usually disposed of, which is normally a landfill.
- The kraft pouch is paper and can be supplied FSC-certified under Direct Eco Green's license FSC C204557.
Compliance for the US and Canada
Wooden cutlery is outside the scope of Canada's Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations (SOR/2022-138), which banned the manufacture and import of plastic cutlery from December 20, 2022 and its sale from December 20, 2023. The Federal Court of Appeal upheld the underlying "toxic" listing on January 30, 2026, so these rules remain in force, and wood, bamboo and bagasse utensils are the main compliant alternatives for Canadian foodservice.
In the US, if your market requires a "compostable" label, buyers will usually expect third-party certification — tell us which certification your market requires and we confirm, before you order, which factory reference can document it. Ask for food-contact documentation with your quote.
Custom printed pouches and private label
Direct Eco Green prints your logo on the kraft paper pouch of the wooden cutlery set, so every delivery order carries your brand. You choose the set composition (with or without napkin, number of utensils), the print colors and the packing count per carton. The sets can ship together with other single-use tableware, such as bagasse plates and trays or bamboo cutlery, in one consolidated shipment. Samples are available before mass production.
Why buy wooden cutlery factory-direct from Direct Eco Green
Direct Eco Green is a manufacturer and sourcing partner, not a distributor of stock cutlery: it has been based in Ho Chi Minh City for more than seven years and works with selected, audited partner factories in Asia and Europe. Quality control is carried out on site, and several product lines can be consolidated into one container.
For high-volume orders this means a lower total cost of ownership than re-sold stock, utensils packed to your specification, and support with regulatory documentation for importing from Vietnam and Asia. Send your volumes and artwork through the quote form and receive a tailored quote within 48 hours, or browse all single-use disposable tableware.
Frequently asked questions
What wood is used for Direct Eco Green disposable cutlery?
Direct Eco Green disposable wooden cutlery is made from solid birch in its natural color. The birch utensils handle hot and cold food and resist moisture and grease for the length of a meal.
Is wooden cutlery allowed under Canada's single-use plastics ban?
Yes. Canada's Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations ban plastic cutlery, and wood, bamboo and bagasse cutlery fall outside the ban. Solid birch wooden cutlery sets are therefore a compliant option for restaurants and caterers in Canada.
What sizes are the wooden fork, knife and spoons?
The wooden fork measures 160 mm (6.3 in), the knife and the tablespoon 165 mm (6.5 in) each, and the teaspoon 110 mm (4.3 in). Other combinations can be quoted for wrapped sets.
Can the wooden cutlery set be printed with my logo?
Yes. Direct Eco Green prints your logo on the kraft paper pouch that holds the wooden cutlery set. The set can be supplied with or without a napkin, and the exact MOQ depends on the set composition and printing.
Can I call wooden cutlery biodegradable on my packaging?
Avoid an unqualified "biodegradable" claim on wooden cutlery packaging, because the FTC Green Guides require such claims to reflect how the item is actually disposed of. A qualified statement, such as compostable in commercial facilities where accepted, is safer and should be backed by documentation.
