Bagasse bowls and containers for take-out and delivery

Direct Eco Green makes bagasse food containers from sugarcane fiber, the fibrous residue left after juice extraction, molded into rigid bowls and boxes for hot or cold food. They handle soups, rice dishes, salads, curries and desserts, and can go in the microwave and the freezer.

  • Rectangular boxes with lid, with 1, 2 or 3 compartments, including vented versions.
  • Bagasse lunch boxes with hinged lid for meals to go.
  • Bagasse boxes + separate lid for delivery and meal prep.
  • Round bowls, with or without lids, and square bowls for poke and salads.

Materials, PFAS and end of life

Direct Eco Green bagasse containers are made from renewable sugarcane fiber, and their grease resistance must come from the molded fiber itself rather than from fluorinated treatments. This matters because molded fiber is directly concerned by state PFAS laws in New York, California, Washington, Vermont, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, Rhode Island and Hawaii — ask for the factory's PFAS declaration with your quote.

  • Bagasse is commercially compostable where industrial composting facilities accept it; it is generally not accepted in curbside paper recycling.
  • PET lids are a separate plastic: they are not compostable and should be sorted separately.

Compliance for the US and Canada

Bagasse foodservice ware is food-contact safe fiber packaging and sits outside Canada's Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations, which ban foodservice ware made from expanded polystyrene, PVC, oxo-degradable plastic and carbon-black plastics; the rules were upheld by the Federal Court of Appeal on January 30, 2026. For a "compostable" claim, buyers expect compostable certification (BPI / ASTM D6400 / ASTM D6868) in the US or CAN/BNQ 0017-088 in Canada. Tell us which your market requires and we confirm, before you order, which factory reference can document it. Under the FTC Green Guides, avoid unqualified "biodegradable" claims and note that composting access varies by city.

Custom bagasse containers and private label

Direct Eco Green produces bagasse bowls and boxes in custom dimensions and colors, with embossed or printed branding depending on the format. Bagasse containers are often ordered with matching bagasse plates and trays and bagasse cups and sauce pots in one consolidated shipment. Samples are available before mass production.

Why buy bagasse containers factory-direct from Direct Eco Green

Direct Eco Green is a manufacturer and sourcing partner based in Vietnam, not a distributor of stock containers. We work with audited partner factories in Asia and Europe, run quality control on site, consolidate multiple references into one container and support you with regulatory documentation — which lowers the total cost of ownership on bulk and wholesale orders.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes do sugarcane bagasse bowls come in?

Direct Eco Green bagasse bowls come in round versions from 240 to 950 ml (8 to 32 fl oz) and square versions from 460 to 1,200 ml (16 to 41 fl oz). Lunch boxes and boxes with lids go up to 1,500 ml (51 fl oz), and custom sizes are produced on request.

Can bagasse containers go in the microwave?

Yes. Sugarcane bagasse containers from Direct Eco Green hold hot and cold food and can be used in the microwave and the freezer. PET lids should be removed before microwaving.

Are bagasse bowls PFAS-free?

Bagasse bowls should get their grease resistance from the molded sugarcane fiber, not from fluorinated treatments. Ask Direct Eco Green for the factory's PFAS declaration with your quote to document compliance with state PFAS laws.

Are bagasse containers compostable?

Bagasse containers are commercially compostable where industrial composting facilities accept them, and access varies by city. If you print a compostable claim, Direct Eco Green confirms before ordering which factory reference is certified to ASTM D6400 or D6868 (BPI) or CAN/BNQ 0017-088.

What is the minimum order for bagasse bowls and boxes?

The minimum order for Direct Eco Green bagasse bowls, containers and boxes is 10,000 pieces per reference. Custom sizes and branding are available from that quantity.
