What powdered vinyl gloves are for — and what they are not for
Powdered vinyl gloves are a budget single-use glove for light tasks of short duration: general handling, packing, light cleaning and quick jobs where gloves are changed often. The powder makes the gloves easier to put on and remove, including with damp or sweaty hands.
They are not a medical glove. In 2016 the US FDA banned powdered surgeon's gloves and powdered patient examination gloves, so Direct Eco Green does not offer this product for medical or clinical use. If your HACCP plan, customer specification or local rules call for powder-free gloves, choose powder-free vinyl gloves or powder-free nitrile gloves instead.

Food handling, the FDA Food Code and powder
Three FDA Food Code provisions drive glove purchasing in US food service: section 3-301.11 prohibits bare-hand contact with ready-to-eat food, section 3-304.15 requires single-use gloves to be used for only one task and discarded when damaged or when the task changes, and section 2-402.11 covers hair restraints for the rest of the uniform. State and local health codes adopt these rules in their own versions, so check the edition your inspector applies.
Direct Eco Green states the food-contact position of powdered vinyl gloves exactly as the factory documents it: conformity to EU food-contact rules, excluding fatty or oily foods. For ready-to-eat food, powder-free gloves avoid any powder transfer to food, so check your HACCP plan and your customers' specifications before choosing the powdered version. Gloves should be worn on healthy skin and changed as often as needed.
Compliance documents for the US and Canada
The European food-contact references are useful if you also sell in Europe, but they are not US requirements.
Gloves are not among the six product categories covered by Canada's Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations (checkout bags, cutlery, stir sticks, straws, ring carriers and certain foodservice ware), which the Federal Court of Appeal confirmed on January 30, 2026 remain in force. For US food-contact documentation, request the factory's FDA food-contact compliance letter (21 CFR, for example Part 177 for polymers) with your quote. Direct Eco Green does not claim FDA approval for these gloves.
Dispose of used gloves according to local rules.
Private label and custom packaging
Direct Eco Green can supply powdered vinyl gloves in white, blue or a custom color, in dispenser boxes printed with your brand. Combine them with disposable LDPE aprons and other PPE in one consolidated shipment.
Why source powdered vinyl gloves from Direct Eco Green
Direct Eco Green is a factory-direct sourcing partner, not a distributor: we buy from audited partner factories, inspect goods on site in Vietnam, and consolidate gloves with packaging and other PPE so you deal with one supplier and one shipment. High-volume buyers gain a lower total cost per box and clear documentation for importing from Asia.

Frequently asked questions
Can powdered vinyl gloves be used for medical examinations?
No. The US FDA banned powdered surgeon's gloves and powdered patient examination gloves in 2016, and Direct Eco Green does not offer powdered vinyl gloves for medical use. Powdered vinyl gloves are positioned for light, non-medical tasks only.
Are powdered vinyl gloves food-contact safe?
The factory documents the powdered vinyl gloves for food contact under EU Regulations 1935/2004 and 10/2011, excluding fatty or oily foods. For ready-to-eat food, check whether your HACCP plan or customer specification requires powder-free gloves.
Why choose powdered vinyl gloves instead of powder-free?
Powdered vinyl gloves are easier to put on and remove, including with damp hands, and they have a low unit cost. For food contact or long shifts, powder-free vinyl or nitrile gloves are usually the better fit.
How long can powdered vinyl gloves be stored?
Powdered vinyl gloves keep for up to 3 years when stored at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep the boxes closed until use to protect the gloves from dust.
What is the MOQ for powdered vinyl gloves?
The MOQ for Direct Eco Green powdered vinyl gloves depends on size mix, color and packaging, and it is stated in your quote. Quotes are prepared within 48 hours.
